THE FIRST SHOP I SKETCHED

I was attracted by the jewelry and decorations in the shop. Mainly silver jewelry and wood works, mostly western style fantasy, such as skulls, crosses and medicine bottles. There are also a few buddhist statues and candlesticks which are the Oriental style.

 THE MOST INTERESTING SHOP

 FAVORITE SHOP

This shop sells many old objects which include paintings, doorplates, winebottle, sculptures and etc.

We bought a Phrenology sculpture here.

We spent many hours to find an object we both like. In this aspect, we are carring our own "favorite" emotions and we also need to consider abut each other's emotion. Therefore, this object is better related to emotion, and the Phrenology sculpture has a direct connection with emotion.

CYBERDOG

A shop which all the products are about future world.

I found many products have the elements of "lines".

FLUORESCENCE SOFT PIPE: a kind of material I have never seen before. I think it's also a kind of special line.

THE HAIR OF FEMALE ROBOT: it's made by wool, but showed very natural effect of hair.

FLUORESCENCE LINES ON THE CLOTHES: the design is simple and dynamic, hsd strong sense of depth.

The final outcome of commue week includes my commue book, the photos we took along the way and the interesting things we bought. I took it with me to every markets and do some life drawing of new and interesting things we found. The advantage of sketching is that it can quickly record the feelings at that time, and I do not need to really care about the details of drawing. The overall feeling is more important, and people can feel my mood at that time, whether it is happy, relaxed or tired.  We think art is everywhere in life, it’s around us. It could be a photograph we take at random, a delicate ring or a well-chosen postcard.
